Day 6

All's well, we woke late since we went to bed late. Just in time for Claire to call and ask up to go to Village Inn for pie or whatever. Since we hadn't eaten at all yet we got food and sat in the booth playing MASH (MASHCO in our case) for what probably was longer than we should have. It was fun, been a long time since I felt comfortable with people like I do here. I mean, it's weird, here I can wear a halter top and not feel out of place or too embarassed to be out. I like this side of me lately, it's been liberating.

After that we went to see Night at the Museum, not bad. Though, not the best movie, but Claire and I got to talk on the way and then a it during the movie. I really like her, I understand where she comes from, I think she's the type of person that's pretty misunderstood generally. I guess that's the type of person I am, I stop and take the time to really listen to someone. Maybe I'm just on an ego trip.

After that, Angela and I went home and made pizza rolls while watching Mamma Mia and the third Pirate's movie. Yes yes, they made me watch them all finally! Not bad movies, I must say, I'll have to buy them at some point. I also applied to the movie theater, we'll see what happens.

Here you go, Lily.

It's not on paper, but I figure that I'm more likely to sit here and type out an entry than to sit and write one out on paper. Also, I'd rather not run the risk of losing my journal if my luggage gets lost.

Well, let's see. I got here late on May 20th and met Angela at the front of the airport and we talked a bit while it took forever for them to get the bags out, 45 minutes at least. The flight over was interesting too. I got a ride, a 3 hour ride to the airport in Kansas City at 8am, didn't sleep the night before because I was way too excited and nervous to. The flight to Denver wasn't too bad, on time and all that, then I had a 3 hour wait to get on the one to Anchorage. Apparently that once it did get there they had an issue with finding a wheelchair or something so it was delayed for a good half hour, then take off was delayed and all that kind of stuff. Flight was good from there, lots of mountains and clouds, nothing too major. The thunderstorm while on the plane was fun too, but it was alright.

Hrm, first night here we went to Walmart to pick up a few things and came back and ordered pizza. Since we've been spending our days getting stuff to eat, looking at the tide come in on the ocean, looking at the waterfalls created from the melting snow, taking 3am drives around Anchorage to show me different areas... some of it I've probably forgotten already, but all fun none the less. Tonight we went to Koots, a bar, but it was pretty empty so we ended up somehow at a strip club.. very interesting, at least the girl was hot.

Tomorrow we might hang out with someone or go to Suldotna which is where their summer home is. Depends on what happens. Should be fun though, either way.
